Multifunctional Treatment Fabrics

2.jpeg

Multifunctional treatment fabrics are textiles engineered to have multiple performance-enhancing properties beyond their basic structure, achieved through chemical treatments and coatings. These treatments can add features like flame retardancy, water and stain repellency, antimicrobial protection, and UV resistance to a single fabric. By combining several functionalities, these fabrics cater to high-demand sectors like medical, home furnishing, and personal protective equipment, offering increased safety, hygiene, and durability while simplifying processing and production.

Key properties and applications

Protective: Can provide resistance to fire, cuts, punctures, and abrasion.

Hygiene and health: Offers antimicrobial, antibacterial, and UV-protection properties.

Repellency: Imparts water, oil, and stain repellency, making cleaning easier.

Performance: Some have additional features like electrical conductivity, self-cleaning, or directional water transport.

WR&OR fabric
WR/OR fabrics are textile materials treated through post-dyeing finishing processes to make them water-repellent, oil-repellent, and stain-resistant. These treatments can be applied to various base fabrics such as 100% cotton, poly-cotton, stretch cotton, and nylon/cotton blends, using agents like Teflon™ or fluorine-free alternatives.

Anti-wrinkle & ironing free fabric

Anti-wrinkle and ironing-free fabrics are textiles, often synthetic or chemically treated, that resist creasing and wrinkling, allowing them to be worn straight from the dryer without needing to be ironed. These fabrics maintain their shape after washing and wear, and can be made from synthetic materials like polyester or natural fibers like cotton that have undergone a "wrinkle-resistant" or "permanent press" finish.

Anti-UV fabric

Anti-UV fabric is a textile designed to block ultraviolet (UV) radiation, protecting against the harmful effects of the sun. It works by using a tightly woven construction, specialized chemical treatments, or by incorporating UV-reflecting minerals like titanium or zinc oxide into the fibers. These fabrics are rated by their Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF), with a UPF of 50+ blocking at least 98% of UV rays.

Anti-bacterial fabric

Antimicrobial fabric is a textile that has been treated or engineered to inhibit the growth of microbes like bacteria, fungi, and mold. It is used in applications like medical textiles, sportswear, and home furnishings to improve hygiene, control odors, and prolong the life of the product by preventing the degradation caused by microorganisms. Treatments can involve incorporating agents like silver or applying chemical finishes

Anti-mosquito fabric

Anti-mosquito fabric is either treated with an insect-repellent chemical, such as permethrin, or is a densely woven fabric that acts as a physical barrier against insects. Permethrin-treated fabrics bind the chemical to the fibers to kill or incapacitate mosquitoes after they land on the material, while tightly woven or other specially constructed fabrics simply prevent the insects from biting through the material.

Pyrovatex flame retardant fabric

Pyrovatex is a durable flame retardant treatment for cotton and cotton-rich fabrics that is used to create protective clothing for high-risk industries like welding, oil and gas, and firefighting. The treatment chemically bonds to the fibers, giving them excellent flame resistance, self-extinguishing properties, and durability through repeated washings. It is also designed to maintain the fabric's soft feel, breathability, and comfort, and can be combined with other finishes like water repellency.

Coating fabric

Coating fabric can refer to a broad category of durable, heavyweight materials used for coats and outerwear, or a fabric that has been chemically treated with a polymer coating to enhance its properties. The latter type of treated fabric is designed to improve its durability, waterproofing, and resistance to elements like wind and stains.

Acid &alkali resistance fabric

Acid and alkali resistant fabric is a type of specialized textile that protects the wearer from corrosive chemicals by resisting the penetration and degradation of acids and alkalis. These fabrics are used for protective clothing in various industrial settings, including chemical engineering, metallurgy, and textile printing, and are often made from polyester-cotton blends
